Kelly Brazier may responsible for one of the most thrilling moments in New Zealand sporting history, but her full rugby resume is equally as impressive as that gold medal winning try at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Kelly is the first player, man or woman, to have won two sevens World Cups and two 15s World Cups in a top flight career that has lasted more than a decade.

With a brilliant rugby mind, Kelly’s versatility as a playmaker and game breaker has become vital to the success of the Black Ferns. Her two World Cup 15s victories came in 2010 and 2017, while the two sevens World Cup titles were achieved in 2013 and 2018. Kelly was an integral part of the Black Ferns Sevens turning their Rio silver into Olympic Gold at the Tokyo Olympics.

Kelly is already taking steps towards a coaching career post playing and has aspirations to one day be the first woman to coach the Black Ferns 7s. Her coaching credentials include having been the assistant coach of the Bay of Plenty under-18 women’s team and more recently assistant coach with the Brave Louve team in Japan.
